Creating Agents
Step-by-step guide to building effective AI agents.
Agent Creation Workflow
Creating an agent involves several key decisions:
- 1Choose the agent type (voice, chat, SMS)
- 2Define the agent's purpose and scope
- 3Write the system prompt
- 4Configure voice/personality settings
- 5Select which GHL tools to enable
- 6Test the agent thoroughly
- 7Deploy to production
Naming Conventions
Use clear, descriptive names for your agents:
- Include the client name: 'ABC Dental - Appointment Setter'
- Include the function: 'Lead Qualifier - Inbound'
- Avoid generic names like 'Agent 1' or 'Test'
Assigning to Sub-Accounts
Each agent belongs to a specific sub-account:
- Agents inherit the sub-account's GHL connection
- Tools use that sub-account's calendar, contacts, etc.
- Usage is tracked per sub-account for billing
- Agents can be duplicated across sub-accounts
Duplicating Agents
Save time by duplicating successful agents:
- 1Go to the agent you want to copy
- 2Click the '...' menu and select 'Duplicate'
- 3Choose the destination sub-account
- 4Modify the prompt for the new client
- 5Update any client-specific settings
